I’m finally starting to feel like myself again.
The reading is back. The writing is back. The obsession is back.
Thank GOD.
I’m praying it stays that way because Let Me Go is getting closer and closer to being in your hands (and hearts).
So, let’s get into it.
Writing Let Me Stay has made me completely rethink Let Me Go.
I’ve been adding and changing quite a lot in Let Me Go while writing its sequel, and honestly? It’s making the first book so much better.
There are little things I’ve noticed while writing book two that I wish I’d done differently in book one, so I’ve been going back and fixing them. Some plot points needed a bit more foreshadowing, some character moments needed strengthening, and a few things just needed to make more sense now that I know where the story is actually going.
It’s definitely helping the whole story flow better and making the plotlines feel much more cohesive.
Okay, I don't think I've actually told you this yet.
I've been talking about Let Me Stay for approximately 47 years, but somehow forgot to tell you one of the most important things...

Life has been... eventful.
I've officially stopped dating, which I think deserves a small round of applause. 😂
No men. No situationships. No dating apps. I'm taking a little break from all of it, and honestly? It's been quite nice.
I've also had a lot going on personally over the last few weeks, so I've definitely needed a bit of time to just exist and get my head around everything.
Which is probably why I decided the logical thing to do was attend a speed friending event.
Because apparently I'm done looking for a man but I'm absolutely willing to speed-date strangers for friendship.
And you know what? It was actually great.
Making friends as an adult is HARD. Everyone already has their people, everyone's busy, and nobody tells you how weird it is trying to meet new people when you're no longer being assigned friends in school.
But it was fun. I met some lovely people, got out of my comfort zone, and remembered that there are so many different ways to build a life you actually enjoy.
So that's where I'm at right now: single, making friends, figuring life out, and finally feeling like myself again.
Ohhh I’m so so so happy that my love of reading is back. The obsession is once again in full force and I’ve been reading some bangers.
Beautiful Things Obey — Kia Carrington-Russell, T.L. Smith & Penny Dee
Considering three authors wrote this, I expected the writing to feel a little disjointed, with different styles fighting for attention.
It wasn't like that at all.
Completely cohesive, beautifully written, and the plot was chef's kiss.
I love a morally grey woman who handles dead bodies for a living.
Like yes, please. Put a knife to a mafia boss's throat. I'm listening.
Five stars.
Be With Me — Gabrielle Sands
I’ve never read a Gabrielle Sands book I haven’t loved.
She doesn't miss. Truly, a queen of mafia romance.
And this was no different.

Another forbidden romance.
The fiancé's nephew???
Wow.
Now, the beginning was a little slow for me. It started off strong, then I found myself skipping over some sections because they weren't grabbing me.
And then suddenly...
It got SO good.
So if you're struggling through the beginning, stick with it. It was absolutely worth it for me.
Hopeless Creatures — Eleanor Feighery
The MMC had to grovel in this one.
Could he have done more?
Of course.
All men can.
But I loved them both, and I have to give a special shoutout to book two, Nemesis, which I loved even more.
The trauma bond between these characters was EVERYTHING.
