Hi there,
Sit back, relax, and get to know your new book boyfriend(s).

The Why Choose Romance 👀
Word count: 30,000 and climbing
Title reveal: Let Me Go (subject to change because I am wildly indecisive)
Yes, this is the first time I’m sharing the title anywhere, so you’re officially getting the early gossip.
The men: Jude, Caleb, Ash
My girl on the run: Oleander
And let me tell you—these characters are feral. Every time I think I finally understand them, they decide to reveal something new and completely derail my plans. I swear they’re writing half this story themselves at this point.
It’s actually taken me a surprisingly long time to figure out exactly how morally grey my men are going to be (because apparently I’m incapable of writing normal, well-adjusted people). But I think I’ve finally cracked it—and I’m very excited about what’s coming.
Right now it’s sitting at 30k words, and I’m pretty confident this is going to turn into a duet…
Which means we may very well be getting our first cliffhanger ending.
Sorry. Not sorry.

Eli will finally be stepping out of the shadows next month, and I have very mixed feelings about it. I’m incredibly excited for you all to meet him… but I’m also a little heartbroken that this story is coming to an end.
He’s been living in my head for a long time now, and letting him go feels strangely bittersweet.
Here are some of my favourite Eli quotes and thoughts:
"I notice things other people might miss. And what I notice now, is that she’s turned on. And she hates that."
"You are more than your body, but your body is a masterpiece. And I’d kill anyone who tries to take a single piece of it."
"Watching you isn’t a choice I make. It’s the only way I can breathe. I’m not keeping you prisoner, Angel. I’m keeping you in existence."
"You are perfection. Whoever made you feel anything less than heaven on earth—I’ll make them bleed."
"Professionalism is for people who don’t belong to each other. And you, Doctor Morgan, are very much mine."
"I’m not a good man. I don’t need to be. I just need to be hers. Completely. Obsessively. Forever."
The things I would let this man do to me? Highly illegal. Possibly concerning.
Pre-orders are officially live if you want to secure your copy now!

I’ve entered a writing competiton (OMG). ProWritingAid has created something called “Novel Beginnings”. You submit the first 5000 words of your unpublished novel, and you’re in with the chance to win 50,000USD (!!). It’s only available to unpublished, unrepresented, or self published authors which I love.
I’m submitting my super secret project (which, thankfully, has literally just 5000 words! It’s fate).
That kind of money would be life changing for a little indie like me. Runner’s up get 5000USD too, which would slap.
Keep your fingers and toes crossed.

Pucking Revenge — Britanee Nicole
This was definitely a fluffier read than the darker books I’ve been gravitating toward lately—but honestly, who doesn’t love a good hockey romance?
Fake dating. Revenge. Hockey players with questionable decision-making skills. What’s not to love?
I was genuinely pissing myself laughing through huge chunks of this book. At one point I choked so hard on my own saliva that it dribbled back out of my mouth.
Yes. I know. I’m incredibly attractive.
If you’re in the mood for something fun, chaotic, and laugh-out-loud ridiculous in the best way, this one absolutely delivers.
Some quotes:
“What am I doing?” I slap a hand to my chest. “What the hell do you have in your pants? You should be required to have a goddamn license to carry that thing.”
“Oh my God, Brooks!” I gasp at the appendage I’m clinging to. “Your dick is hard!”
Why am I talking so loudly? And why am I gripping my best friend’s dick?
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” He’s looming above me, his tone frantic and his face a mask of confusion. He wiggles his thumb, tugging at my hand and garnering my attention.
Ohh. My hand is wrapped around his thumb. So not his dick, after all.
I’ve also been in a real reverse harem / why choose mood lately (shocking, I know). Right now I’m on a desperate hunt for why choose stories with strong hurt/comfort vibes. So, if you do have any of those, please send them my way!
In case you haven’t noticed from my reading and writing tastes, I don’t really lean toward enemies-to-lovers. I don’t necessarily want full-on insta-love either. I like a little tension. Some obstacles. But insta-connection? That’s absolutely my vibe.
The Brutes of Bristlebrook series – Rebecca Quinn
Honestly? I was shocked to discover it was her debut because it’s really well written.
It’s set in a post-apocalyptic world, where the FMC exchanges her body for safety. Naturally, the men all end up falling for her (as they should).
There were so many twists and turns in this trilogy that I genuinely wasn’t expecting. And I’ll be honest—I almost DNF’d at one point. Not because it was bad, but because, as I said, I love connection and hurt/comfort, and the smut comes before the emotional bond here. I wasn’t sure how I felt about that dynamic.
But once the connection finally kicked in?
Yeah. I was hooked.
Highly recommend.
And if you’re celebrating Mother's Day (UK) this weekend, I hope you get some uninterrupted reading time… preferably with morally grey men involved.
P.S. If you’re curious what I’m reading this week, check out my Fable here:
Love,
