Bikers, Cowboys, and Bloody Good Books 🤠🏍️🔪

What I’ve Been Reading (and Writing!) Lately...

Hey there!

PSA 📢 The Colour Of Revenge is now available in hardback! Make sure you grab your copy which includes the beautiful character art of Nate and Carina right on the front.

Since we last spoke, I’ve fallen headfirst into an MC romance rabbit hole. There’s just something about bad boy bikers—leather, danger, tattoos, gruff declarations of love—that hits every single one of my buttons. 🔥

I’ve devoured quite a few lately. Some have been solid three stars—not bad, just missing something. But a few absolutely rocked my world:

💥 Top MC Reads I’ve Loved:

Wreck & Ruin (Tarnished Angels #1) by Emma Slate
Came for the smut, stayed for the story.
Honestly, this was less spicy than I expected, but I didn’t mind—because the plot actually delivered. Was the romance a little rushed? Maybe. But I’m a sucker for an obsession storyline, so I was all in.
Will I read the other characters’ stories? Eventually. I’m not sprinting to my Kindle for them, but I wouldn’t say no either.

Biker Daddies by Liz Archer
With that title? I was fully expecting a trainwreck. What I got instead was a wildly fun surprise.
Age gap? Check. Forbidden romance? Yep. Reverse harem and surprise pregnancy? Say less.
There’s plenty of spice, but the story had way more heart than I anticipated—and I loved that.

Wolf.e by Paisley Hope
Dark MC romance that did not disappoint. The spice? YUM. The characters? Chef’s kiss.
We’ve got touch her and die, touch him and die—and honestly? Just take my money. I'm sold. Definitely check your triggers before diving in, but if you like your romance intense, possessive, and downright feral... this one’s a hell yes from me.

Saint View series by Elle Thorpe
Yes, I know I’ve mentioned this series before… but how could I not?
It’s still unbeaten in my heart. No other MC romance has topped it yet—but I’m on a mission to find one that does. So far? Nothing’s even close.

Then… I fell into cowboy territory. And yep, that obsession is going strong too. Dirty boots. Rough hands. Grumpy, broody types who fall hard? Sign me up.

🤠 Cowboy Romance Faves:

Bourbon & Lies by Victoria Wilder
Romantic suspense with bite. The banter? Impeccable. The sass? Chef’s kiss. I was hooked from page one to the final twist, and the chemistry between the FMC and MMC had me grinning like a loon.

Claiming Their Omega (Knot Her Pack #3)
Omegaverse + hot cowboy best-friends of your brother = yes please.

Barbed Wire Hearts by Kendra Moreno
Dark cowboy reverse harem? Say less. Romantic suspense with heat, grit, and just the right level of unhinged. Ticks all my boxes. I devoured it in one sitting.

Spurs (Black Gulch #1) by M.A Cobb
Best friend’s dad? Yes. Small-town vibes? Double yes. Not dark, but it doesn’t need to be—this one brings the charm, the heat, and a delicious semi-slow burn. Perfect palette cleanser between the chaos.

🖤 Stalker Romance Addictions

You knew this was coming, right? I live for the morally grey and watching-from-the-shadows kind of obsession.

This is the second standalone in the Romano Empire series—but trust me, read them in order. I devoured all three. Story-wise? Chef’s kiss. Perfection. No notes.
Okay, one note: it leans a little more “tell” than “show” in places, which kept it from being a full five stars for me—but that didn’t stop me from inhaling every word.

Now, let’s talk about Enzo Romano.
Unhinged? Check. Golden retriever energy? Absolutely. Bookstore-obsessed, stalker-adjacent, ride-or-die book husband? Inject it straight into my veins.

Listen. I picked this up expecting flirty hockey banter and instead got full-on darkness wrapped in a love story. I was not prepared—in the best way.

The FMC forgives some wild stuff (a little too easily if we’re being honest), but I still found myself hooked. Will I read the rest of the series? Maybe. I’m intrigued enough… just not committed yet.

Utterly deranged… and I adored every single page.
Saint is completely irredeemable—and somehow, still not. That takes talent. Disturbing, intense, addictive. If you want a villain you’ll question yourself for falling for, this one’s it.

This was actually a Fable pick in The Dark and Spicy Book Club, where we read one unhinged dark romance a month and discuss each chapter with fellow masochists—I mean readers. Highly recommend.

Let’s just say my Kindle is doing overtime lately.

What I’m Writing:

🔪 Murderously Romantic Series

If you missed it—Book 1, The Colour Of Revenge, dropped on May 17th! You can grab your copy now and dive into this twisted tale of love, lies, and a very charming serial killer. (As one does.)

🖤 Book 2: The Chaos She Brings

Currently in edits! It’s been through beta readers (thank you, angels!), and now I’m shaping it into the stormy, sharp-edged romance it deserves to be.

Kai and Tess are chaos and calm, storm and shelter. They're opposites in all the best ways, and their story gets dark. We see more of Nate and Carina, and Enzo finally steps into the spotlight.

🔥 Book 3 (Title TBC): Enzo & Izzy

This one is for my mafia romance lovers. It’s raw, intense, and a little heartbreaking. I’m now at 50K words, and I think this might be my favourite book yet. Unlike the rest of this series, this one is set mostly in NYC and Italy which means my characters use American spellings. I’m still working on the blurb, but here’s a draft:

Izzy

Broken. Battered. Bruised.
When my husband turns on me—dragging his friends into the assault—I run to the only man I’ve ever truly trusted.
Enzo Russo.
Feared mafia underboss. Ruthless enforcer. My childhood best friend.
He’s the last person I should go to. And the only one who can keep me alive.

Enzo

I’ve only ever loved one woman.
The one I swore I’d never touch—not with hands like mine.
But when Izzy shows up bloodied and betrayed, I promise her retribution.
Slow. Brutal. Unforgiving.
But her husband is more dangerous than I realize.
And Izzy?
She’s hiding something. Something that could burn us both to the ground.

📚 Top Secret: Book 4

Shhh… you didn’t hear this from me. But I may or may not be writing a book for Doctor Morgan, Carina’s therapist.

When I first wrote her, she barely had a name. Then she kept showing up, demanding attention—and now she has a full, twisted story of her own.

Enter Eli: her patient… and her stalker.
This is the darkest (yet somehow, possibly, the most romantic) book I’ve written yet.

✍️ Other Books I'm Working On

📖 Bin-diving, but make it romance?

While on holiday, a random woman pulling food from a bin sparked an entire trilogy. Don’t ask me how my brain works, I just follow the chaos. I’m only four chapters into Book One, but I’m already obsessed with my FMC.

This one’s shaping up to be:

  • Reverse harem

  • Age gap

  • Suspense-heavy

  • And probably a little unhinged (because… me)

🔧 Building an MC Romance Empire

Now… I did warn you I’m obsessed with MC romances right now. So obviously the next step is: writing my own.
Can you guess where this is going?

That’s right. I’m deep in the planning stages of a series of standalone MC romances—and this time I’m doing things differently. Character sheets. Relationship charts. Club politics. The works. I’m usually a full-on pantser, but these bikers are loud and messy and demanding.

It all started with one line. One opening scene. One wedding dress.

And now… I’m writing this:

“You shouldn’t be here, sweetheart. This is no place for a woman like you.”

Did this cunt really just say that? Have I stepped into the 1950s?

Misogynistic asshole.

Maybe it’s the puffy white wedding dress that’s got him thinking I’m some helpless little damsel. His mistake.

I widen my eyes, let my bottom lip tremble, and blink out a single, glittering tear. Hook, line, sucker.

“What's got you crying, sweetheart?” he asks, softening. “Need me to beat someone up for you?”

Six of them sit at a nearby table.

The one talking—this guy—is huge. Leather jacket, bulky muscles, scar down his cheek. The patch on his cut tells me two things:
One—he’s in a biker club.
Two—he’s not with the other five. Their emblems don’t match.

The rest look like carbon copies: dark hair, darker beards, inked-up and battle-worn. Except for one.

Him.

He’s watching me with dark, almost-black eyes like he’s trying to stare into my soul. Good luck with that. I don’t have one.

Mid-thirties, hair dark as sin, chiseled jaw, broad shoulders, and that kind of quiet power that makes a girl forget her name.

Would it be weird to offer him a quickie in the toilet?

Probably. The dress might kill the mood.

What was I doing again?

Right. Biker Number One asked me a question.

“You could do that?” I gasp, one hand flying to my chest.

He stands, swaggering toward me.

Perfect.

“Let the man handle this, sweetheart.”

Internally? Eye roll. Externally? Sweet and wide-eyed.

“Why not a woman?”

He frowns. “Huh?”

“Why can’t a woman handle it?”

He laughs. “Women can’t handle violence.”

I tilt my head. Smile.

“Can’t we?”

Before he can blink, I pull the pistol from my pocket—yes, my wedding dress has pockets, God bless the designer—and aim it straight at his head.

Would you read more of that? 😉

That’s all for now—thank you for being here, cheering me on, and reading the messy, murderous, romantic stories that live rent-free in my head 💌
